Production details: The film was shot in April and May 2007,and incredibly just six months later the postproduction was completed and the digital intermediate was printed on 35mm. For the director Til Schweiger it was crucial to edit with a color corrected version that represented his vision of the film, and so by working closely with Philip Whitfield the look of the film was established during the rushes. The editing was done simultaneously to the shooting, so that a month after the wrap we were able to start on the VFX work of certain scenes. For example, we improved the breaking of the glass roof by adding 3D glass splinters and touch ups and also stabilized the crash through of a brick wall ,adding 3D bricks and demolished the car in post. Of course through the magic of CGI the cute Anna (Luna Schweiger)remained unhurt after she had been hit by a giant magnet that stuck to her braces. In September we started with the complete 2K scanning process of Keinohrhasen, followed in October by the online editing, color correction and recorded on an Arri laser. By the end of November finally, the premier copy was printed on 35mm,the work was done and the film made his way onto movie screens across Germany.
